Often seen as a single destination due to their proximity to each other and the relative sizes of these small historical colonial era towns. Famous for Kampot pepper and delicious Kep crab it’s popular with foodies and a great spot to relax at the end of your journey.
Kep Sur Mer became the premier beach town for the french from the turn of last century until well into the 1970’s, as you explore this pretty coastal town there is still lots of evidence of what it once was, with an abundance of abandoned villas still standing. They give the town an nostalgic feel. Certainly some of the best sunsets in Cambodia can be seen here and a perfect activity is to relax at a beachside bar and soak up the atmosphere.
